Mortgage Repossessions Have Reached A Record Low

Figures show that 3,100 properties were repossessed in the first quarter of 2015, down 52% on the same period last year, 26% down on the previous quarter and the lowest since records began.

However the number of people evicted from their rented homes hit record levels in 2014, with rising rents and changes to benefits amongst the factors. Data showed that 42,000 homes were repossessed by landlords in England and Wales during the year, a rate of 115 a day. This was the highest figure since the records began in 2000.

Often the first you hear of a client going bust is when you receive a wodge of correspondence from an insolvency practitioner (IP).

Be proactive – don’t just throw this in the bin. You will never get paid!
